Ashley McCarthy was born in Orange County, with a yearning for the stage at an early age. She started auditioning for commercials, film and television at four years old and has since been in almost 40 National and International spots, over half a dozen films, and shows on networks CBS, ABC, and MTV. Ashley worked on her career simultaneously alongside her studies in school and was also heavily involved in community theatre. She attended Tesoro High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, where she became a member of the International Thespian Society as well as the Comedy Sportz High School League. After graduating, Ashley wasted no time making the permanent move to Los Angeles. She quickly landed her first lead role under the direction of horror icon Luca Bercovici in the film Dr. Chopper (2005) (V), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She has been most recently under the direction of the ever-edgy Daniel Waters in his latest film, Sex and Death 101 (2007). She was the youngest cast member on MTV's "The 70's House" (2005), an internationally distributed reality show. After growing for 15 years as a performing artist, she has since taken on work in all areas of the entertainment industry alongside honing her craft. She's filled her time with titles ranging from personal assistant work for high profile players, casting directors, and producers, to indie film Assistant Director. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
